TEACHER

OVERVIEW

In this workshop we'll explore and learn embroidery techniques and stitches and then use them to decorate a piece of linen. This class is similar to the freeform ‘embroidery from the natural world’ class but has a little more structure in that students will be able to choose from a selection of ready-made botanical designs.

This unique piece of linen can be used to create a simple drawstring bag for keeping your knitting or crochet project in. Or perhaps even for storing embroidery supplies or a camera. They would also make a very special gift.

Sewing instructions for the bag will be provided.

COST

$185

This price includes entry to the entire Soul Craft Festival for the day of the masterclass.

TAKEAWAY

We will finish the class with embroidery skills and an original piece of stitched linen - ready to be constructed into a project bag at home.

Students will need to bring:

  • Medium-weight linen (0.5 metre).
  • Small scissors.
  • Sewing needles (size 5/10 ‘Embroidery').
