OVERVIEW

In this workshop we'll explore and learn embroidery techniques and stitches and use them to express natural forms, in particular botanical specimens. Use your new knowledge to create your own piece of embroidered artwork, which can be framed or made into something else when you get home.

COST

$185

This price includes entry to the entire Soul Craft Festival for the day of the masterclass.

TAKEAWAY

We will finish the class with an original piece of stitched artwork that could be framed at a later date.

MATERIALS

Students will need to bring:

  • Small scissors.
  • Size 5/10 'Embroidery' sewing needles.
  • 6-strand embroidery cotton floss (DMC or Anchor stranded floss, available from most craft shops) in several botanical colours.
  • One wooden embroidery hoop, 15cm in diameter.
