OVERVIEW

Kate loves knitting socks! Come and share that love as she teaches you the art of toe-up sock knitting.

In this class we will use thicker needles and yarn, to knit a toddler-sized sock on circular needles using the toe-up method. Kate will walk you through starting your sock, shaping your toe before learning how to knit your heel and cast off.

This price includes entry to the entire Soul Craft Festival for the day of the masterclass.

TAKEAWAY

I’d love every participant to complete one child sized sock in the allocated time and feel comfortable with the techniques taught.

MATERIALS

You will need to bring;

  • 50g DK/8 ply weight yarn.
  • 3.5mm 80cm circular needle.
  • Some stitch markers.

PREREQUISITES

Proficiency with circular needles as well as comfort with the following techniques are necessary: magic loop, increasing and decreasing, wrap and turns, and knitting into wrap and turns.
